Biopsy Results

My biopsy results have been reviewed by Cyril (superstar path at Royal Marsden) and discussed at the MDT meeting along, apparently, with lengthy discussion about phyllodes and our online support group!!!

Decision remains that the biopsy showed benign fibroadenoma. HOWEVER because of my history and weirdness of phyllodes they’ve decided to bring me back in September to rescan, measure and possibly biopsy (although if it’s grown, they may just do surgery and not bother with biopsy again). So all good. Thanks to those asking. I’m quite chilled about it all. I have the bestest consultant and team at the Marsden and I know if I was worrying they’d bring me in sooner. So for now just lots of bubbles required…. always fizz!!

Phuck Phyllodes!

I am officially a weird one!

Results back. Same result as previous biopsy 7 yrs ago that turned out to be malignant phyllodes! It’s gone back to Cyril (the best pathologist) to review again. Meanwhile back on 6 monthly scans (unless Cyril says whip it out)! [yes I did mean my boob!!]

Also I’ve run into some people in the waiting room that I met at cancer conference in Amsterdam that want help with a project and me to present at next years conference! Oooh I’m so important. AND there’s a sarcoma tea party at 4.30… I’ve asked for prosecco!

Phuck Phyllodes!!!

MRI

MRI done @ St George’s Hospital. Let’s see if they can’t a) merge the results with someone else’s; b) lose MRI entirely; c) copy results to cd for my oncologist as requested in June; and/or d) remember to look at MRI before my results appointment in a month’s time.

Hospital Appt – ankle

Hospital appointment for my ankle – Over 2hrs and still waiting to be seen! If they don’t hurry I’ll miss my opera insight!

Yay I’ve escaped. For now. Even saw a Dr who’d read my file! MRI ordered and back in 8 weeks. Ankle splint some days and moonboot for others. Must have been the antigravity thingy.

Physio

Wasn’t sure if I should laugh or weep this morning. The physiotherapist was able to give me the results of the MRI that was urgently requested on my ankle and the bone chap I saw a few weeks ago didn’t seem to have been able to! Oh and she also confirmed they’d lost my x-ray! Anyway, joyful news was not only multiple fractures but also extensive damage to soft tissue throughout the ankle… so much so she’s referring back to the bone team before giving me physio! Maybe some hydrotherapy next week if the bone team say it’s OK! I guess it’s progress… Now to track down that x-ray so that both that and the MRI can be sent to my soft tissue sarcoma cancer consultant, as he’s requested!
